ISI 2020 eligibility conditions vary according to the course the candidate has applied for. ISI Eligibility for various disciplines is specified below.

The applicant must have qualified his 10+2 level or an equivalent exam from any recognized board or University with Mathematics and English as subjects.

B. Math

The applicant must have qualified his 10+2 level or an equivalent exam from any recognized board or University with Mathematics and English as subjects.

M.Stat.

The applicant having done any of the three is eligible to apply-

  • 3-year Bachelor’s degree or a BE/B.Tech. degree with Statistics as a subject

  • B. Math. Degree from ISI

  • PG Diploma in Statistical Methods from ISI.

M.Math

The applicant having done any of the three is eligible to apply-

  • 3-year Bachelor’s degree

  • BE/B. Tech. degree with Mathematics as a subject

  • B. Stat. degree from ISI.

Master of Science (MS) in Quantitative Economics:

The applicant having done any of the three is eligible to apply-

  • 3-year Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Physics

  • B. Stat. degree from ISI

  • BE/B. Tech. degree or any other qualification considered equivalent.

Master of Science (MS) in Quality Management Science:

The applicant having done any of the two is eligible to apply-

  • 3-year Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics 

  • BE/B. Tech. degree in any discipline.

Master of Science (MS) and in Library Information Science:

Candidate having 3-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is eligible to apply.

M Tech in Computer Science:

The applicant having done any of the two is eligible to apply-

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Electronic Science, Computer Science, Computer Applications or Information Technology

  • BE/B. Tech. degree or any other qualification considered equivalent 

M. Tech in Quality, Reliability & Operations Research:

The applicant having done any of the three is eligible to apply-

  • Master’s degree in Statistics 

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics with Statistics 

  • BE/B. Tech. degree or any other qualification considered and Physics and Chemistry at (10+2) level.

PG Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics:

The applicant having done any of the two is eligible to apply-

PG Diploma in Computer Applications:

Candidate having 3-year Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject (Offered at Giridih) is eligible to apply.

*Note: Eligible Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) Awardees of any previous year need not sit for ISI Admission Test for B. Stat (Hons) and 3-year B. Math (Hons). Such candidates would be directly called for an interview. However, they are required to apply in the prescribed application form like all other applicants.

ISI Exam 2020 - Application Form

Students seeking admission through ISIAT have to compulsorily register for the entrance test by filling the ISI 2020 application form online between 1st week of February 2020 to 3rd week of March 2020. Application fees has to be paid along with the filling of the form.

Steps to Apply for ISI Admission Test  2020

Candidates after checking the eligibility criteria for ISI Admission test may fill the application form online. The official website for filling the form is- isical.ac.in. Steps for filling the Application form are listed below:

1. Registration:

  • Follow the link given above and apply for the test.

  • Now, register on the official site.

  • A Log ID and password will be created and the candidate will get a mail stating these credentials. 

  • After attaining the ID and password, candidates have to log into the website using the credentials

2. Filling the form:

  • Once logged in, students are required to fill their details in the application form.

  • Personal details, qualification information and contact details have to be filled by the candidate.

  • Candidate must check all the information before clicking the ‘Submit’ button.

    3. Uploading the images:

  • Candidates must upload the scanned copies of the photograph and signature in the required formats as stated in the online application form of ISI Admission Test 2020.

  • The scanned copies should be in JPEG/JPG or PNG formats only.

4. Payment of application fees: Fees can be paid online or offline as preferred by the candidate.

Online payment:

  • Online fee payment must be made within 2 days of the application form submission.

  • The application fee is collected via the State Bank of India Collect website.

  • The fees may also be paid using Net Banking, Debit/ Credit Card.

  • Applicants shall receive a registration number and transaction ID through SMS on their registered mobile number after the payment is made and registration is successful for ISI Admission Test 2020.

Offline payment:

  • If the candidate chooses an offline mode of payment, an E-challan is generated.

  • Students have to download the E-Challan and take a print of the same.

  • The fee can be paid at any SBI branch through cash.

Applying for PG diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics

Students willing to take admission in this course have to fill an offline form. They have to purchase ISI 2020 Application Form. There are two ways to buy the form and they are listed below –

  • Paying the submission fee at the office of Indian Statistical Institute, Tezpur University Campus, Tezpur through cash. The timings are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all working days.

  • One may also send a Demand Draft by post in favor of “ISI NORTH EAST CENTREpayable at Tezpur, Assam from any national bank. The DD must include a supplementary postal charge of INR 60.

ISI Exam 2020 - Application Form Correction

Candidates must be very careful while filling the details and submitting the application form since there is no provision for correction. Once submitted, the details entered cannot be modified or updated. No time is given by ISI authority for making corrections in the application form.

ISI Exam 2020 - Admit Card

ISI Admission Test 2020 Admit Card shall be released by ISI authorities in the second week of April. The candidate must carry the admit card in the exam hall to be eligible to sit for the exam. The admit card contains details regarding the exam timing, exam center and Registration number of the candidate.

Steps to be followed for obtaining the Admit Card for ISI Admission Test 2020 are given below:

 

  • Candidate can login to his/her email account and click on the link sent by ISI Calcutta.

  • The link shall redirect the candidate to the page from where the candidate can download the admit card for ISI Test 2020.

  • Candidate can take a printout of the admit card from their and keep it with him.

Note Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the admit card with them even after the exam for future reference.

ISI Exam 2020 - Marking Scheme

The question paper of ISI Admission Test consists of 2 sections. Section A is of 30 marks, whereas Section B is of 70 marks. Candidates need to qualify both the sections.

There is negative marking in ISI admission test, each incorrect response will fetch -1.

ISI Admission Test 2020 Result shall be declared in July 2020. The result will be available on the official website of ISI Kolkata.

Step 3. Enter the credentials- Application Number, Password, Roll number or Date of Birth.

ISI Exam 2020 - Cutoffs

 

ISI 2020 cutoff is the qualifying marks that an applicant needs to score to be eligible for admissions. Students willing to take admission through ISIAT 2020 must score equal or greater marks than the cutoff of the exam released by exam authorities. Candidates who score marks lower than this cutoff shall not be considered for admissions.
