Manipal University, established in 1953 in Manipal, Karnataka. It has now changed its name to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). It is one of the largest technical universities in Asia consisting of 19 colleges and 7 departments under the University. 

It offers several courses in Undergraduate and Postgraduate with more than 300 specializations under the disciplines of Science, Medical, Architecture, Technology, Arts, Management and Media. 

Admission to these courses are offered on the basis of marks scored in Manipal Entrance Test (MET) followed by a Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) .

What is MET 2020?

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) conducts its own entrance exam to offer admissions in various programmes. The candidate can secure admission on the basis of marks scored in Manipal Entrance Test (MET). The exam was earlier known as Manipal University Online Entrance Exam (MU-OET).

Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2020

Admission to the following courses offered by MAHE, is through the MET Exam 2020. All applicants can book their entrance test slots in the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) based on the availability of seats, from the list of cities provided. Kindly note, if in case the lower number of applicants from a particular city, the test center from the nearest city will be made available in the OTBS.

How to apply for MET (MU-OET)2020

Those candidates who wants to take admission in Manipal University, can apply for the MET Exam 2020. The procedure to apply online is mentioned below: 

Step 1: Visit the official website https://apply.manipal.edu/mu/admission/login.html

Step 2: Fill all the information asked and then click on register and continue button. 

Step 3: Automatically an email will be sent to your registered mail Id with User ID and password. 

Step 4: The issued password must be kept confidential for further usage.

Step 5: Now, enter your login Details. Fill all the other information asked. 

Step 6: Upload all the necessary documents asked i.e. signature, passport size photograph etc. Then move to the next page.

Step 7: Select your prefered course and at the end pay the application fee. Step 8: Make the payment and move to the “Submit tab”

Application Fee Payment:-

  • Application fee can be paid through Netbanking, PayTM, Credit card/Debit card 
  • Payment can also be made through Demand Draft in favor of “Manipal University”
  • Candidates who are paying the application fee through DD must have to send the print copy of the filled application form along with DD to the following address:

MET 2020 - Eligibility Criteria

Manipal University has defined the eligibility criteria course- wise for MET 2020. Listed below are some of the most common exam and its eligibility standards: 

 

Eligibility for B. Tech –
The candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects with a minimum 50% aggregate marks and must have good scores in Manipal Entrance Test. 

 

Eligibility for M. Tech –
The candidate must have completed BE/B.Tech/AMIE from a recognized University, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent and must have good scores in Manipal Entrance Test.

 

Eligibility for MCA – 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application/Computer Science/IT

MET Exam Pattern 2020

The Manipal Entrance Exam will be an Online exam based on computer mode. The candidate has to appear at the exam center based on selection at the time of application. 

Other Facts Related to MET Paper:

  • A rough sheet will be provided to the candidate during the test and they must have returned the sheet after the completion of the examination.
  • After completing the test, the final score will appear immediately at your desktop.
  • The test score can also be verified online after 24 hours of test completion.
  • For multiple attempts, the best of the scores will be considered for the merit list.

MET 2020 - Frequently Asked Questions

Ans 1. For those who want to take admission in the Manipal university has to appear for the MET EXAM 2020. The candidate can apply for this examination from the official website.

Ans 2. The eligibility criteria for several courses may vary. If general the eligibility criteria is as follows:-
– No age limit
– 10+2 from any recognized school with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
– For post graduation, the candidate must have completed its graduation from any recognized university or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.

Ans 3. Yes Of Course, If a candidate want to appear for more than one course they can do so. But in that case, the application fee will be submitted separately for both the courses.

Ans 4. There is a negative marking, one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Ans 5. Yes, Non Indian Resident or Foreign Candidate can also appear in the exam. The Exam center for the Foreign/ NRI Candidate will be Dubai and the registration fee would be INR 2500.
