MH CET 2021: Application Form (Out), Exam Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (commonly called MH CET) is a common state level entrance exam for admission in colleges conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra every year for admission to various courses such as undergraduate engineering (B.Tech), pharmacy (B.Pharma) and agriculture courses such as B.Tech/ B.E, Pharma D and B.Pharma offered at colleges only in Maharashtra state.

This examination is conducted at various centres across Maharashtra as well as outside Maharashtra State by Online mode which is Computer Based Test tentatively in August 2021 usually MH CET occurs in the month of May but due to covid-19 crisis, the Class 12th exams in Maharashtra are postponed and expected to begin in the last week of May so MH CET has been also delayed this year.

 

The  MH CET exam will comprise three papers. Paper 1: Mathematics, Paper 2: Physics and Chemistry and Paper 3: Zoology and Botany. Questions will be of Objective Type only( MCQ type) and the time duration of the test will be 90 minutes for each paper.

Latest Update – 

 

  • 09-June-2021: MH CET 2021 will commence the Online Application Process on its official website from 8th June. Candidate can visit the online portal to submit their applications. Form will be available till 7 july, 2021.

  • 07-05-2021: MH CET 2021 has been postponed till August due to the delay of Class 12th exams that are scheduled to begin on April 23,2021. The Class 12th exams in Maharashtra are expected to begin in the last week of May however till now no official dates have been announced for class 12 Examination.

MH CET 2021 Important Dates

MHT CET 2021 exam date is not yet announced by the Education Ministry of Maharashtra,this delay occurs due to covid-19 crisis however the exam has been delayed until June 2021. CBSE class XII exams have been postponed and hence the exam dates for MHT CET are expected to be released only after CBSE finalises the new dates.you will be updated with the exam date and regularly check the site to keep yourself updated.

MH CET 2021 - Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for MHCET EXAM 2021, candidates have to fill details regarding age and educational qualification in order to be eligible for the exam. Verification of the eligibility of the candidates will be done at the time of admission. If any candidate is found to be not eligible then he/she will not be entitled for the admission. The details of eligibility criteria are given below.

 

To be qualified for applying for MH CET 2021, a candidate must fulfil below referenced qualification rules:

  • Citizen: The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • State Candidates: Candidates who reside in Maharashtra can apply for MH CET and  need to present a domicile certificate/school leaving certificate/ certificate issued by the authority of Maharashtra as proof.
  • Other State Candidates: Candidates  who reside outside maharashtra are also eligible to apply in this exam and they need to present valid documents such as domicile certificate/ DOB certificate/ residential certificate issued by  any recognized  state authority of India.
  • Passing Exam & Marks: Applying applicants must have passed his/her 10+2 level exam securing a minimum of fifty marks (45% for reserved categories) from a recognized Board or Authority.
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for the candidate appearing for MH CET 2021.
  • Students appearing for his or her final year qualifying exam also are eligible to apply.

 

Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature:

  • Those Individuals, who are displaced from J & K to any neighbourhood of India or from unsafe border area of Jammu and Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu and Kashmir from 1990 onwards because of terrorist activities.
  • The offspring of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) or Indian Police Services (IPS) or Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and kids of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces moved to J & K to combat terrorist activities and joined the post on or before the last date for submission of application for admission; or
  • The children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism are eligible under this type.

 

Note: However, as favour is given to the J & K Migrant candidates appearing for JEE (Main) over MHT CET are advised to appear for JEE(Main).

Academic Qualification Required for DU JAT Entrance Exam 2020

  • Every candidate, in order to apply for the DU JAT 2020 exam must have qualified/cleared the board examinations, conducted by a recognized board.
  • The students who are awaiting their 12th board examination result, are also eligible to apply for DU JAT.

  • MH CET 2021 has now released the application form on the official website in online mode.

  • Students must fill the application form before 7th July 2021.

  • The complete application process will consist of varied steps – Registration, filling of form, uploading of images & documents, and paying the appliance fee.

  • The images of documents must be uploaded as per the prescribed format and size within the application form.

  • Students must avoid filling multiple application forms. The board will consider only the last submitted form.

  • Payment mode: Students are going to be ready to pay the appliance fee through online mode by internet banking/debit/credit card.

How to fill the MHT CET 2021 application form?

Step 1- Go to the official website of MH CET.

Step 2 – Login yourself in the portal and fill all your details accurately such as personal details and academic details.

Step 3- Candidates select their course in which he/she want to apply. Also, choose an examination centre according to your convenience.

 Step 4- Upload all necessary documents like signature, candidate’s passport size picture all in required format.

Step 5- After filling all details the candidate must have to pay the fees to complete the admission process for paying the Application fee payment.

Step 6– After filling check all details carefully and note down the application number that is generated after successful registration for future reference.

Step 7- Take the print out of duly filled application form.

Documents required for filling the MHCET 2021 registration form

The subsequent documents must be kept prepared while filling the application form of MH CET 2021:

  • Class 12th passing certificate from recognized board.

  • Class 10th passing certificate from recognized board.

  • Date of Birth proof

  • Address proof

  • Caste category certificate (if applicable)

  • Domicile certificate

  • Scanned images of photograph and signature

Note that Ration Card and E-Aadhar Card are not valid id proofs for MHT CET 2021.

MHCET 2021 - Admit card

MHT CET 2021 Admit Card is predicted to be available within the fourth week of July 2021. Candidates must all details carefully which is mentioned on the admit card then download it by following the steps given below:

  • Go through the official website of MHT CET i.e., http://cetcell.mahacet.org/

  • Find the “MHT CET 2021 Admit Card” link and click on the link thereon

  • Enter the user id and password

  • Click on the ‘submit button, the admit card is going to be displayed on the screen

  • Printout the multiple copies of the MHT CET 2021 Admit Card

 

MHT CET 2021 Admit Card will contain the exam centre address alongside the date and time of the examination. Candidates will need to check the every small details mentioned within the admit card.

MHCET 2021 - Marking Scheme

 

Marking scheme is as followed by MHCET 2021:

 

1 mark will be given for each correct choice in Physics and Chemistry and 2 marks will be given for each correct choice in Mathematics. Also remember and kindly note that there is no negative marking for the exam. That no will be deducted/minus from your score for every wrong choice of answer and 0 marks for no answer.

MHCET 2021 - Results

 

The MHCET 2021 Results are going to be declared on the official website supporting qualified marks. The official date is yet to be announced. Candidates are going to be ranked within the list on the idea of their scores, respective category-wise.

  1. Visit the official website of MHT CET and search the ‘result’ link.

  2. Enter your MHT CET roll number.

  3. Click on submit and thus the result is getting to be displayed on your screen.

MHCET 2021 - Cut-Offs

  • MHCET 2021 cut off scores are going to be released after publishing the result.

  • Cut off score may be a minimum mark that has got to be secured by the candidate to be eligible for the counseling round.

  • Cut off score for MH CET 2021 is calculated supported by various factors like the number of candidates who appeared within the examination, availability of the seat for the examination, the difficulty level of the test paper, score secured by the candidate in MHCET 2021, and reservation category.

Ans 1. Every correct answer carries one mark for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Papers and 2 marks for Mathematics Paper. There is no negative marking in the entrance examination.

Ans 3. Students from other states can appear for MHT CET. However, the exam centre will be allocated in Maharashtra state only.

Ans 4. MHT CET 2021 registration dates are yet to be notified. The application form is expected to be released in April.

Ans 5. You are strongly advised to consult NCERT textbooks. There are a few topics in the syllabus that are not covered in NCERT books for MHT-CET and thus they need to be prepared from other reference books.

Ans 6. SRMJEEE 2021 result announcement is going to be announced within the last week of June 2021 for phase 1 and thereafter for phase 2. SRMJEEE 2021 counselling is going to be conducted after the announcement of the result of both phases.
