Symbiosis National Aptitude Online Test (SNAP) is a national level management exam, which is conducted by the Symbiosis International University, Pune. It is a common MBA/PGDM entrance exam which is mandatory for admission in any of the 16 Institute of Symbiosis.

SNAP Test is conducted online and is expected to be moderately difficult apart from other entrance exams. The duration of the exam is one hour.

The entrance examination will be the combination of an online test, Grade Equivalent + Personal Interview round. The SNAP exam paper comprises questions from some section of General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning level of a student. After clearing/passed the SNAP exam 2021, candidates have to participate in many rounds to get selected in the university such as
Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT), conducted by SIU institutes individually in the month February and March 2021.

SNAP 2020 was conducted once per year, with three attempts i.e. on 20th December 2020, 6th January 2021 and 9th January 2021.

SNAP 2021 - Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for SNAP EXAM 2021, candidates have to fill details regarding age and educational qualification in order to be eligible for the exam. Verification of the eligibility of the candidates will be done at the time of admission. If any candidate is found to be not eligible then he/she will not be entitled for the admission. The details of eligibility criteria are given below:


To be qualified for applying for SNAP 2021, a candidate needs to keep the beneath referenced qualification rules:

  • The candidate probably scored at least 50% marks in his/ her undergraduate course.
  • The candidate should be a resident of India.
  • Candidates with foreign degrees or qualification are also eligible for SNAP 2021, but such candidates should obtain equivalence certificates from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • Candidates, who have appeared in their final exams and their results, are awaited, can also apply for DU JAT exam. However, they will have to show the qualifying certificate at the time of counseling.
  • Candidates who have appeared for the final exam of the bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply, but their admission will be provisional and will be cancelled if leads to non-fulfilment of the above mentioned eligibility criteria.
  • Eligibility Criteria for merit-based admissions under the EWS category shall be similar to that of UR category.
  • Work Experience is not necessary; as both working and non-working aspirants can apply.

SNAP 2021 - Reservation Criteria

No particular reservation models are there for the SNAP Exam. Only relaxation is given in the base passing imprints which is 5% relaxation is given to SC/ST/PWD competitors and in the application process.

SNAP 2021 - Application Form

The SNAP application form for the February session has been released in an online mode on August 16, 2021, by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU). Also, in order to complete the SNAP 2021 registration, candidates must enter their valid phone number and email ID since the exam-related information will be communicated through this mode only. Prior to filing the application form, the eligibility criteria to appear for the exam must be checked and understood by the candidate. The last date to complete SNAP 2021 registration is November 23, 2021.

  • The amount of the application fee is Rs 1750/- if paid via online mode. However, you can make payment via Demand Draft which includes all the taxes and the amount will be Rs 2065/-. The DD should be made in favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune branch.

  • Click the button on “New Registration” and “I agree” to proceed.

  • Fill in the details such as email id, mobile number and password.

  • Click on the “Register” button.

  • A confirmation email will be sent to the registered email with username and password or via sms on mobile number.

  • Login using the details provided– username and password – to fill the application form.

  • Upload photographs as per requirement and pay the fee of INR.1750 /-.

  • The application fee can either be processed via online mode or by sending a demand draft.

  • To select a program and college, further proceed to an online registration form.

*Note: The registration fees for each programme has to be paid separately.

  • Scanned copy of category certificate latest OBC (Non-creamy)/ SC/ ST/ DAP, if applicable.

SNAP 2021 - Admit card

SNAP 2021 admit card will be available in the second week of December 2021. The admit card will be available to download from December 6. Carrying admit cards is compulsory to be eligible to appear for the test Log on to the official website.

SNAP 2021 - Exam Pattern

SNAP 2021 Exam is divided into three main sections and each section is divided into two parts I and II. The sections are: Analytical Reasoning-I, Verbal Skills-I, Quantitative Skills -I, Analytical Reasoning-II, Verbal Skills-II, Quantitative Skills-II. The exam will be held for 1 hour. The question paper is in the form of MCQ (Multiple choice questions).

SNAP 2021 - Marking Scheme

Marking scheme is as followed by SNAP 2021:


1 mark will be awarded for each correct choice. Please note that there is negative marking for the exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted from your score for every wrong choice of answer and 0 marks for no answer.

SNAP 2021 – Result

The result will be declared in the second week of January 2022. SNAP 2021 results will be announced on the official website as a scorecard format. Scorecard will give detailed marks obtained in both scaled and sectional exams. It will be valid for admission for the year 2021-2022

The score published by the university will be final and is not subject to change or undergo revaluation under any circumstances. After the results are declared, each participating institute may have further processes to be conducted before final selection of all candidates. 


These additional processes will involve Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. It is only after these processes that institutes will finally declare the merit list of selected candidates.

SNAP 2021 – Cut Offs

Each participating institute will announce their cut off marks separately after the result. Usually, all institutes have some or the other additional processes involved after they shortlist students through SNAP. Candidates who are listed in the merit list are eligible and can take admission for their applied course program in the respective issued colleges. 

Important FAQs Related to SNAP 2021

Ans 1.No, there is no age limit to appear for SNAP 2021. However, the candidate has to complete their graduation with the bachelor’s degree having required marks.

Ans 2. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks required is 45 percent aggregate in graduation (any stream).

Ans 3.There is a set limit to upload a photograph and digital signatures in the SNAP 2021 registration form.

Ans 4. Yes, SNAP answer key will be released on the official website, a few days before the result announcement. The official date of answer key has yet to be announced.

Ans 5. SNAP is held one time in a year. Candidates cannot appear more than once.
